The images should be saved once the are initially loaded. Unlike the weather app, I never force any images to reload themselves in the comics app. Have you tried exiting out of the app and going back in? (Silly question I know, but sometimes failed images load for me when I restart boxee.)

Where is your location (country/state/city) currently?

Can you attach me a new copy of your boxee.log? I should be able to tell what it's doing to the images in terms of loading then.

    Thanks again!

You have a ton of those where the artwork basically fails to load from your local folder. Maybe the originals corrupted themselves the first time you tried to load them when the weather settings problem occurred and now boxee is attempting to pull from your archives. That one specifically should be for the "Bill Day" strip's artwork:

...which when clicked on in boxee will pull this feed:
    http://dir.unboxeed.com/apps/comicsc...hp?ce=bill_day

What you could try is purging your picture library by going to:
    ~/BOXEE/userdata/profiles/tallowby/Thumbnails/Pictures

...and deleting the entire contents (eveerrrything) of that directory. That will force boxee to attempt to redownload all thumbnails for Picture applications. I just tried this on my machine, restarted boxee, and the media reloaded itself.

What do you think? This also can't be related to your location because we're both in NC, lol.

Hey you have a error in the file/image location. The image files are located outside of the pictures folder. Just loose in the thumbnails folder.

The purge and subsequent reload did not fix.... still the same

Note on second look images were added to both the thumbnails and pictures folders?

Ok I just watched the whole process...

When the app is added to my apps the following folders are created in the pictures folder (0-9 & a-f) all filled with cryptic .tbn files.

When the app is run for the first time there are 155 files created in the root of the thumbnails folder referencing links to the (0-9 & a-f) folders (ie Pictures\1\10118c6a_image.tbn).

This is an observation sorry no help on the root corruption issue

On an alternate machine (iMac) the app works fine. Will try Atv later tonight.

One thing that needs to be tweaked is the following.

Some of the cells are getting clipped so your scaling is not right. When you zoom and the little full image comes up you can see the whole cell but I have not been able to see all in an un-zoomed full screen.

Just added the app to the Apple TV and am experiencing the same problem as the macbook pro down to the same few images appear.

So far logging into boxee under the same account on 3 machines

Apple TV & Macbook Pro = problems
    iMac = no problems

This app would be perfect if you could add both User Friendly and Dilbert. These are the only 2 I follow daily.

It appears comics.com changed paths and the server they store media on around. They no longer use assets.comics.com right now and they've "simplified" their directory structure.

I've got things mostly working again but I have to run. The only thing left to fix is the date that is displayed under each comic (right now everything is in 1969) to bring this app back to where it was.

Hopefully all will be resolved later tonight. Note there is no need to reinstall the app as all changes are on my server end with the feed generation. At the worst you merely have to restart boxee to make sure you're pulling fresh feeds.
