Another nod for anidb support. My anime and japanese music collection is 1.6TB. My combined TV and Movie collection is 1.1TB. Having 68% of my content unrecognized is a major reason I don't recommend boxee to my friends.

    Default agreed

agreed, anime is also a big chunk of my media,
however despite the bad integration of it, i still bought a boxeebox,
and i still love boxee =D

but please, anime needs to be added to the list =) you'll have more users =D

I've had some luck getting the IMDB scraper to recognize anime by searching for the original Japanese titles - but this is still unacceptable. I can't tell my girlfriend to queue up season two of Spice and Wolf when it's under Ookami to Koushinryu II. WAF is one of the biggest appeals of Boxee, and this is throwing it under the bus.

[edit] Also, I should add that thetvdb is amazing at recognizing anime. If Boxee wasn't so damn good at streaming media, I'd have dropped it a long time ago and stuck with XBMC. But between the apps (which I love, mainly for TED) and the iPhone controller app, it makes it really hard to choose.

    Default Scrapers

I recently tried XBMC and Boxee, and I liked the Boxee interface and features a lot better. The developers started with something great and made it legendary. The one thing that is missing for me is the inclusion of custom scrapers. I too have a ton of anime and even if I renamed a lot of it, many of the series are incomplete or incorrect in the IMDB database. IMDB has done a pretty good job with my movies, but my media library consists of more than movies. With this small change, I believe Boxee could immediately be catapulted to the razors bleeding edge of media centers. I'm not giving up Boxee because of this, but it certainly makes me sad . I'm holding out hope for the future.

    +1 million for anidb.net support

I'm slowly going through and matching titles to what's in IMDB - however as stated before, having everything appear in romaji instead of the westernised titles is a bit of a mindf***

Registered just to support this idea. Boxee has been extremely useful for cataloging movies and TV-shows but anime just doesn't work with imdb.I really hope Anidb support will be at least considered.

    Thumbs up

Yes, anidb support would make things so much easier (and better).

    Definitely gets my vote.
