    Just wanted to share.....................

Apparently YouTube is going to be offering rented movies through their site within a couple of months. At the moment they are trialling the service with just google employee's. Now if boxee could create an app for this to work asap that would be a major plus for boxee's future.

I am going to guess they would want you to pay for the movies with Google checkout.

This guy is Genius and he has tons of educational videos explaining all sorts. All of his videos are on a youtube channel but they are all over the place.

    Please please please
Working on an RSS feed app for it right now for you. I have added it to my repository (see my sig.) I am still working on getting it all added to the RSS feed tho. So far I have Physics, algebra and arithmetic. I am adding the others as fast as possible. But go ahead and try it out.

ADDED quite a few more. I have to go to work shortly so may not finish all the videos but a lot is already there. I hope it is organized a little better for you.

Look for my apps in the main boxee repository. A list of currently available apps is on my website.

    Default Espn360

ESPN360, which I just saw was listed previously. This one would be cool.

Ok this app is completed. Just thought I would update you with that.

    Default Add the Hype Machine

The hype machine. It's a collection of music blogs and always has a lot of undiscovered music. You can add the blog part using RSS feeds but it would be nice to search and view your favorite songs.

This Khan Academy app is a great app for anyone about to sit their SAT's or those who wish to brush up on other academic subjects.

    Thanks Jen

ESPN360 would be huge for myself and several others. Sports is what is holding back my buddies from following my lead of cutting cable.

ESPN360 has a twitter account (twitter.com/espn360) that tweets as shows begin. If your ISP (ATT, Comcast, etc) carries ESPN360 then the Tinyurl from the tweet pops a video window right up and you're set.

This is easily converted to an RSS feed through Twitter. Is it possible to parse out the Tinyurl in each tweet's RSS feed and load that URL into Boxee's player? I'm not intimately familiar with Yahoo Pipes but i suspect that since every tweet has the same format ending with a predictable Tinyurl that it is possible to grab just the link.

While i have near zero programming skills it seems like a rough program would be pretty easy to do. I believe that the Hulu Feeds App operates in a similar way of using RSS to list videos and then opening a browser window and isolating the video from the window. A similar approach could be done here.

    This would be huge! Thanks.

I'll take a look at an ESPN 360 app. It's football season now so I'm actually kind of motivated to do an app that benefits myself too, lol.
    Common issues w/ Boxee:
Beta Important Info | FAQ & Support Requests | Hulu Mature Content | Search

    UnBoxeed app development:
    Comics.com | ESPN360 | Weather

Actually, yeah, this won't be that bad too do. I'll work on getting a python app for this made, baring any unforeseen things that I'm not coming across right now just browsing around the 360 interface.

The only issue I see is that the player requires an install of a 3rd-party app to make it work. So I'm guessing this limits 360 to just Windows and Mac users.

I know this is limited to fans of one team but if there are any fans of Liverpool FC it would be freakin' awesome if someone could write an app for their subscription-based eSeason ticket.
The content is flash-based and there are some free clips available to see here:

I would definitely help out in any way possible but I'm no programmer.
