Metadata From Network Source Help

I recently re-named all of the video files I have that another thread recommended to that Boxee could access IMDB to get the data (ie: 28.Days.Later.avi and so on...). I went into Boxee after doing so and tried to see if the metadata was there and Boxee crashed and I was given the 'status 4' message. After that, I turned off the setting that generates thumbnails for files without posters in the video section. This fixed the crash problem, but none of my metadata was there.

I am running Apple TV version 2.2 and the latest version of Boxee. The files are on an external hard drive, attached to my MacBook Pro and are being accessed through Browse>External's Name on IP Address>Videos. All of the videos are in separate folders according to their names (I have a feeling this might be detrimental to getting the metadata...). If I need to clarify anything in order to help, let me know and I will get on it!

I'm facing the same issue highlighted by one of the earlier threads. The screen goes bright white when you try to play a video and stays there. I expect it should be the same problem that prevents me from watching Hulu.
