Default How to enable Mac root user for Boxee AutoUpdate

    Hi,

I imagine I can't be the only, but how does one enable the root user in Mac OS 10.5?
According to the apple docs, it's via the 'Directory' Utility. But when I open mine, it's completely emtpy.
I had a clean fresh install of 10.5 a couple of weeks ago.

So how do I get Boxee's Auto Update to work and why doesn't Boxee require the password of an account with admin privileges instead of the root account?

    Can somebody please help me?

    Alright. Still not working.
I went through the trouble to reset the root user password, by inserting the Mac OSX DVD and booting it up.
I've set the password and now I even logged in the root user to check everything.
Now that I'm logged in with my normal user again and I tried to update Boxee from within the program.
Boxee still tells me that the password is wrong.
So in gods name, can someone tell which password Boxee wants from me?
It's not the root pw, it's not from my admin account and neither is it from my normal user account.

    Please someone help me.
