Apple TV Software update 2.4 Kills Boxee
Apple just released a software update version 2.4. If you have auto update enabled it will kill boxee and you will need to reinstall via thumbdrive. Not quite sure what the new update does for the apple tv, but I was excited to play with the new version of Boxee tonight. Instead I will be building a new usb install.

Anyone confirm that Boxee will reinstall once this update is installed?

Reinstall worked post ATV update 2.4 but....
Boxee has different functionality (perhaps I missed an update). For example:
I enter Video Internet from Applications not Video.
I can't pause, scan etc. when I watch the Daily Show (says pause not available).
Also, I lost the thread that explains how to ssh in very basic terms. Any direction on this would be helpful. Ready to give it a try but can't pause what I'm watching

try to remove the UserData and try again you will need to ssh into Apple TV. from Linux and Mac OSX, use the ssh command line via the terminal.
1.ssh frontrow@{ip address}
2.To retrieve your IP (boxee>settings>general>IP or ATV>settings>general>about>IP
3.enter Password "frontrow"
4.rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/BOXEE/UserData/

I wasn't able to reinstall boxee last night, I tried from my patchstick, which is what I've been using since November, and no go, it was stuck on the "loading Linux" screen and never went forward. I guess I can try again. I might end up having to do a full software restore on the Apple TV and then try from there.
Anyone else having hang-ups with getting the patchstick to load?
