Pentium iMac Mini dvi to hdmi mirroring issue

Basically the problem with the Boxee desktop is when I run the iMac in mirroring mode Boxee is too big on both the computer and my Sony HDTV.

As soon as I turn off mirroring it fits the computer perfectly, without mirroring the display is on the computer only.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Are your cables brand new? I used an older dvi to VGA cable once and it was causing my desktop to be bigger than the TV. A New cord solved my problem.

I'm a bit confused as to why you would even want to put a mac mini into both the Sony HD and a smaller monitor. Why not just run the mac mini into the Sony HD only as your primary monitor and your problem is solved?

Sorry for the confusion the computer is not a mac mini, it is an iMac 17". I am using a mini dvi to hdmi brand new cord. The issue is that the mirroring makes the boxee desktop display too big on both the iMac and the tv. When mirroring is not on the display is fine on the computer of course it is not on the tv at that point since I am not mirroring
