locating external HDDs?

i have 3 external hard drives connected to an imac through firewire 800. i go to manually select and add sources, but am not able to locate the drives. i also have these drives set up as alias locations in my movie folder, but it is not recognizing them there either. all 3 drives contain dvd video_ts folders which are recognized through my regular hard drive.

any suggestions?

welcome to boxee ..try first with one external HD ..close and restart boxee add then go to Settings>Media sources>Local sources and try to browse for that HD ..

I have a single USB HD (drobo) and that doesn't work for me. The lowest in the directory structure I can go is the Mac HD.

I could never browse for my external HD either. It only added it when i manually added the address in.

you need to select the following.

Settings
media sources and apps
local sources
/
Volumes
you should see your drives in there...
