View Full Version : Blogotheque app videos don't play for me

Hi there,
I am a little bit frustrated with the blogotheque app in hte App Box: whenever I choose any of the videos, the scren goes black and the video never starts.

Boxee does not freeze or anything like that, it responds perfectly and I can even see the OSD showing the timer as if the video was really playing, but the screen remains black and the video never starts.

Has anybody else come up wit that? Any ideas on how I could fix it?

I'm having similar problems with Open University, also the "other" University app, with the Zefrank app.

It seems to be a general problem.

could rename this thread "Some Boxee apps" show only black screen when playing videos.

Also... this started with the Previous Update (last week?) not the one today June 24.

Open University works fine for me.

I was also having this issue before today's new version, but I was waiting to report it until trying the new release just in case...

Maybe we need to throw out prefs?

I just tried the Blogotheque app on my Ubuntu box and I get the same behaviour: Boxee responding perfectly, the timer is running, but the video never starts.

I guess it's not something specific of the Mac version then...

The Blogotheque app is now magically working for me, Has there been an update to either boxee or the app?

However, HD is off by default and there's nothing I can do about it: is there any way I can get my vimeo blogotheque videos in all their HD glory?

I'd be very interested in getting this to work as well. LA Blogothèque is great, but without vimeo in HD by default, or a pref, or am addition to the sources.xml it isn't worth it.
