View Full Version : Netflix wont connect.

I set up my netflix account with my boxee account and when I go into Netflix on boxee, it says "Please pair boxee with your Netflix account by visiting www.boxee.tv/netflix". I already paired my account and when I got into my account settings it says that it is paired. I am running Mac OS 10.5.7 on a Macbook. Please help.

I have the same exact issue but on a Mini.

No worries, I was able to get Netflix to work using Plex.

did you download the silverlight plugin?

Yes, I downloaded it. I even tried reinstalling Silverlight after installing Firefox and pairing it there as well as Safari.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I would love to use Boxee instead of Plex.

Somebody just did something today to fix it. I had to go into my Boxee account and re-pair with Netflix after they fixed it and now it works fine.

You're absolutely correct! Hooray, it's working and way way better Netflix interface than Plex's Netflix's interface.

Did I miss some README file somewhere where this software requirement (for Netflix on MacOSX) was detailed?

The Wiki/FAQ/UserGuide should be updated to stipulate this requirement, or that the user must first successfully natively stream Netflix Instant Watch via their browser before attempting a Netflix connection via Boxee.

edit: p.s. Are there other undocumented software dependencies for other boxee component applications?
