Had to ask for it, but it would be killer to have Hulu as an Internet source. One of the things that I'm hopeful is that now that Boxee/XBMC is running on things other than the XBOX, such as OSX, that it can start playing Flash content.
What is the likelihood of this feature?

flash (as a swf container) content is not supported at this time but is certainly interesting, as are services such as hulu. we are working on supporting more and more content, and grow our video directory. stay tuned :)

Just wanted to throw a +1 in for this feature request. Hulu has great free content that I would love to watch using Boxee!

I would recommend a shortcut to achieving this by embedding Webkit. You will not only gain access to plugins (Flash included) but also it could be the fallback support for any other types that are not yet supported. Webkit is very friendly for embedding, specially on Mac.

I've been thinking about this, and it makes great sense except for one thing: Hulu (and, indeed, essentially all web sites) are designed to be controlled via mouse, but for Boxee I think most people use a remote. Have you thought of any solutions to that challenge?

Hi Jordan
Whenever we support any new content the most important issue is to make it user friendly :)

Er... okay. That was a very vague, kind of PR-esque answer to a pretty straightforward question. I have no doubt that you'll figure out a user-friendly solution. My question was more along the lines of have you figured out such a solution, and what is it? Really, as a UI geek, I'm just curious what you've come up with.

I am new to Boxee (still waiting for my invite)
There is an xml feed provided from Truveo that could help with making this work, it provides sorting and listing of all kinds of internet video including hulu (I expect you already know about this). I am wondering if this could be used to build up a UI to provide access to hulu content that could be navigated via the remote. Just thought I would put it out there.
