Hello everybody, and thanks for doing an amazing job with both XBMC and Boxee.

Unfortunately I haven't recieved my alpha version of this, hopefully, amazing project yet. So I wanted to know if Boxee, as XBMC, supports playing from RAR files. Thing is that I have a huge archive of RAR packed x264 HD movies and tvshows that I mount to my mac mini(currently running ubuntu with XBMC) through the www. It's very convenient as it allows me to stream all the content without having to download it first.

Looking forward to hear from you. And hoping to recieve my Alpha-Boxee.

Hi I just downloaded the latest release for windows last night, and I'm still having problem playing video directly from rar files.

The source scan did not pick up the content from the rar files. And when I tried to find the video directly from the file browser and click on the rar file, the process gets stuck. It looked like it was trying to decompress it or something. I waited for a long time and still it didn't return. It was a local file on drive D.

I scan the release notes and saw quite a few lines stating this should be fixed?

EDIT: Ok, I was able to get it to play the rar files "sometimes". It's strange because it'll work on the same set of files, and sometimes it'll just wait forever.

Couple days ago I extracted many new rar files and unexpectedly something happened and all these files were damaged no one knew how. But by good fortune yesterday my sister came to me and told me about the tool, which work with rar archives. I used it and was greatly surprised, because of the utility resolbed my trouble for minutes and without payment - how to repair rar file? (http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/rar_file_repair.html).
