Apple Remote Key Repeat

Is there anyway to have the keys on the apple remote repeat when you hold them down? Right now to scroll through lists takes many many clicks on the remote...I would like to just hold the keys down to scroll.

we used to have that on the remote but i caused lots of problems ..you can try and change/edit the keymap.xml
