View Full Version : Netflix- can't play vids.

I can see and select the videos, but when I click on them with either the Mac remote or the Keyboard, it doesn't do anything (except make the clicking noise).

Ideas? Solutions? Thanks.

Got it working, using the tips in THIS THREAD (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=8583&highlight=netflix)

Essentially you need to give it a little 'kick' by starting any movie in a web browser (I used Firefox on my Windows XP Laptop). I then stopped the movie, went back to Boxee, and Netflix works.

Not a huge deal, but not very user friendly if it becomes epidemic.

I have loaded up netflix in both safari and firefox, but I still can't watch anything in boxee :( I get a message saying "Movie playing failed. Connection error".

Did you actually begin watching a show, then click 'back to browsing'?

Just had the same issue with my playon-to-xbox-XBMC setup, repeated my fix from this morning, all gravy.

Wow, I guess clicking the "back to browsing" button is important. Last time I must have just closed the window once the video was playing, but clicking that button has fixed it.

Frequently when I click on a Netflix movie it will "spin" and not do anything. I had to restart my mac yesterday.

Another thing is earlier yesterday my boxee account became delinked from my netflix account and I had to reauthorize it on the site. Not sure what triggered that, I've had my netflix account linked to my boxee account for over a month.

I also get the same exact error. I click "Play" and just sit there for 3 seconds before this error comes up.

MB 13.3, 2.0Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM. (Late 2008 model?)
