Hello World;


Ultra X Linux V1.3 Media Edition will be released May 22 2009, we are uploading to the web as we speak it may be up today; go to http://ultraxlinux.org to check.

Ultra X Linux Media Edition comes with Boxee preinstalled, all you do is install your graphics card and enable direct rendering; if not Boxee will not start. Also included is Sun VirtualBox and many page fixes.

Ultra X Linux Desktop will be released at the same time; Its out of BETA!

Or any LIRC capable remote, for that matter. Searching on their website produced no results.

Granted, it's easy enough to instal the LIRC packages, but it would be nice if it were already included.

yes LIRC is included in Ultra X Linux and I think I seen a tech show that boxee supports the Microsoft remote.

So, would this mean that Ultra XLinux would offer out of the box Support van Microsoft remote keyboard and remote?

or will I need to configure it myself?

It hasn't been tested, to offer support for something that doesnt exist isnt good business. LIRC is there, so is boxee, the capabilities are there to do it. as far as having to configure the remote buttons and what not, not sure. Try it out.

This version is for x86 architecture, Ultra X is working on a copy that will run on PS3.
