I've been running Boxee on my Mac Mini for a little over a month and LOVE it!
I'm thinking of purchasing an ATV tonight. Can Boxee access my NAS with all of my video files on it?
If so is there a step by step process to allow NAS or does it work with the regular Boxee install on an ATV?
P.S. My NAS is connected via an Airport Express.
Thanks!

Thats the exact setup I'm running and it works great as of this mornings update. Boxee didn't find the share automatically but once I entered the IP I was up and running.

I was wondering, why would you like to purchase an aTV if you have a Mac Mini already?
I assumed the Mac Mini can do everything the aTV can do, and more, like have the power to play x264 720p and 1080p movies?

guys - quick question - i've got my appletv linked to my 'time capsule' drive by smb.
How do you structure you music files/folder. Do you have to have one folder with all mp3 files in? or can each album have it's own folder?
if it's 1 folder with all files - how does each album distinguish itself?
sorry if it's an obvious question.
Thanks in advance

boxee dives into folders, I keep my music in folders, of artists and albums and my movies in folders by type - divx, mkv, MPEG-2, etc. I mainly segregate my media by type so that I can manage space on my drives.
And as stated above, Apple TV now sees that drive hanging off your Airport Extreme router and most likely time capsule too.
We need to do a better job auto-finding it. Right now you have to enter the IP address and user name of the box.

I have the Mac Mini in the living room and will be putting the ATV in the bedroom. :)

So all you have to do is have the IP assigned to the airport base station that the USB drive/NAS is attached to as well as the name of the airport base station? I'm going to try to set something like that up this weekend if possible.
