Steaming dvr-ms

Everytime I play tv shows recorded in dvr-ms from another windows computer in my house to my mac the video constantly has to load. I was wondering if there was any way to change a setting to help cut down the constant loading.

how is it working playing the dvr-ms via the mac local player (not boxee)..

Using VLC (quicktime doesn't play dvr-ms) it also stops frequently, but it can vary.
