First, the interface is WONDERFUL. Now to the problems.
1) Can't find Hulu, CBS, Comedy Central, MySpaceTV, NextNewNetworks, On Networks in internet video.
2) when pulling up a recommended video from CBS (How I met your mother), text overlays text on the first line. It almost looks like it is the episode title under the show title.

That's all right now.

if you have an issue with the new plugins not appearing, try deleting your sources.xml file.

linux: ~/.boxee/UserData/profiles/[USERNAME]/sources.xml
mac: ~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/profiles/[USERNAME]/sources.xml

boxee will then re-create it will all of the new stuff included.

The new videos didn't show for me either.

you can also run the boxee executable with -usf parameter (i.e. Boxee -usf) to make the changes (should have been done automatically, but maybe failed)

neither worked.
tried the -usf parameter, nothing happened.
tried renaming the sources.xml file nothing got rebuilt
tried the -usf parameter again still nothing. tried adding manually, but less than previous number of sources available.
gave up and restored the original sources.xml file.

I nuked the whole .boxee file under Home and that fixed it.

On the Myspace vids there is a Banzai channel!! Banzai is the greatest show ever made. :D I am happy now.

Try moving your current profile aside and try with fresh profile, see if it fixes the problem.

Will this work on an AppleTV as well? I'm not seeing any of the new content. I'll SSH in and report back what I find...

I think I tracked sources.xml down. Forgive me if I'm posting common knowledge, but I figured that it couldn't be that hard to find, but what a pain that is with stripped down OSX on the box.

./Users/frontrow/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/profiles/<Boxee Username>/sources.xml

I think I got it all there. I renamed the existing one and I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes...

that is the correct file location.

if that fails... just delete the entire 'BOXEE' folder from 'Application Support'... boxee will rebuild it.

renamed my entire .boxee folder and it re-created and it now is working.

Thanks for the help.

If you delete completely, and you have a remote, it won't work unless you rebuild the lirc file. I'm going to make a copy to be safe from now on.

No luck. I renamed sources.xml and I lost all my sources under video. I dug a little deeper and it turns that I'm still running the Oct. 2 build. I've clicked update, but it doesn't seem to actually update from the version installed.

Any ideas?

Marcel, I figured it out. When I initially installed Boxee from the Patchstick on Saturday, I only ran the update/install on Boxee, not on XBMC. As soon as I ran it last night, the two separate listings for XBMC & Boxee became one entry and low and behold, I was able to download the new update.
