Would be cool with a option under settings that control the exit behavior..

* Exit boxee
* Shutdown pc

When you have a dedicated boxee machine.. it's more functional if it shutdown the machine rather then just boxee.

Hope this get added.

This would be awesome,

I currently have GDM set up to log in to a default account and used the gnome session manager to start boxee at login. So when I turn on the PC, boxee starts up and is good to go. Would love to be able to turn off the machine without getting my butt off the couch. :-)

I am using an old HP office PC with a 2 Ghz AMD Athlon 64 connected to a Panasonic 50PZ700U and it looks great in 1080. Also using a snapstream Firefly remote with Lirc.

Loving boxee so far, can't wait to see what new features come in the next release.

what about like a timer? Like what we have on modern tv's, where if you feel like you will go to sleep you can shutdown the machine in 30 or so minutes?

I would like to see this feature. I agree, shutting down the boxee application is useless to me. I want to shut down my dedicated htpc when im done watching.

Agreed, would be awesome to be able to do it from

- Boxee remote/TV
- iPhone Remote App
- iPad App (have wished this a few times while laying in bed streaming a movie. Movie ends and have to get up and turn the PC off :( )

very good idea, and very environmental ( i leave my HTPC running all night for no reason).
