Hey All-
Looking for a little advice, just got a new camcorder yesterday (JVC Everio HD). Pretty cool as it captures at 1920x1080, but I didn't account for the massive file size. 1 minute converted to .mov was almost 1 gig!
So my question is: what's the best way for me to get video off of this thing? What should I use to convert the .mts files it records? I want to keep the HD resolution without massive file sizes... I'm thinking .mkv? If so should I use handbrake or iMovie or something else? I run boxee on a macmini but have a XP machine as well.
Any advice would be much appreciated-
Jay
