Dear all, I am pleased to announce my 4th Boxee rss application, which I am sure will appeal to a much more international audience than my french and german speaking first attempts.

I bring Pornhub to Boxee. That is right, enjoy Pornhub videos from within Boxee. The app is available from my repository:

www.openix.org/simon/boxee/repository

The app is the first one I do that uses the flash:// links, and there are still a few things that need to be worked on. In particular the videos seem cropped sometimes, and there is no way as of now to pause, fast forward/backward, et c.

Enjoy!

So I tried this out. Works great overall. Did find some problems though. I'm running the latest version of Boxee on an AppleTV and here's the issues I had...

* The descriptions appear to have been mixed up. None of them match the movie.

* Somehow, it seems to throw off the video calibration, so that the bottom of the movie (and the controls menu) is off the screen.

my bad experience with PornHub versus Boxxxee is that PornHub puts the latest videos I have watched in the main Boxee menu of recently viewed content. I mean, it's great for showing friends your new media center and booting up Boxee with these great little preview pics of some ass being gaped from last nights viewing. I got some giggles from my fiends. They know I'm a perv.

ANYWAY.... is there a way to keep PornHub from adding its content to the recently viewed section?

remember, you can always remove watched videos from 'recently used' by selecting them.

for PH to prevent listing in the 'recently used' section would require the dev add some code to the PH app.

You can also use an anonymous user (e.g test user)

What do you mean by, "selecting them," to remove the recently used? I've seen no way to remove them once they are posted there.

Please clarify? :D

How do you add this to boxee? I went it in the apps directory and created a descriptor.xml file and copied that stuff into it but it doesn't show up. What am I doing wrong?

the option to 'remove' will show-up upson selecting the offending item in the 'recently used' list. IE: click on it as if you were to play it, and you will see 'remove'.

Aahh, I never noticed that option. Thanks, Agentlame.

Hi all,

I can actually see the application and all the sub-classes in it. Although, all of them are empty.
Anything else I shall do?

Tks

Hi all.

It looks like the last update of boxee has broken my app, as some of you have been kind enough to notify me. I checked the functioning under the previous version and all is fine, so the good news is nothing has changed on the pornhub website.

So for those of you that see no content, there used to be some and I am hoping to fix this soon.

In 2 words, it seems the new boxee app implemented a timout for loading the xml pages. I happens to be so that the php script generating the listing of vids in a category is quite slow (it actually does a lot of work). Anyway, unless you guys find a way to extend this timout, I will have to modify the app slightly.

The other remarks some made is that thumbnails appear in the list of "recently played" on the main page, obviously a problem when you launch boxee to watch a romantic movie wigth your date. At the time I developed the app, there was no way around it. I saw some other porn apps more recently developed which prevent this from happening, and I hope to be able to implement that too.

Timeline is a little blur as I am quite busy, but hopefully next week.

Best

S

It is fixed. I had to add 1 level in the hierarchy which is not really useful, but that was the only way to avoid the timeout which the last version of boxee implemented (and my script was slow because it crawled a lot of web pages to extract .flv addresses). The good news is the .flv playback in boxee is vastly improved, such much quicker start of video. Enjoy!
