Fanart support

Hi,

Is fanart something you guys are planing to add to boxee?
Something like this (http://www.teamrazorfish.co.uk/mediastream/090_episodes.png)
Would be really cool :-)

Do I just save the picture in the movie/serie folder?

try adding it as a folder.jpg into the folder...it will definitely work while browsing through your source...

sorry to bump this one..


was unable to get this o work... download a fanart from thetvdb.com and saved it as folder.jpg in the same dir ad the videos.. but was not displayed.

any plans for making boxee download fanart automatic?

Plex developers have not yet contributed anything to skinning-engine nor skins

please accept my most humble apology... i honestly thought the plex-team were good standing members of the xbmc community.

the reason i mentioned them was only because they are boxee's closest competitor on the mac.

i knew aeon was an xbmc skin, but thought that the plex-team had contributed back to the community/skin... thanks for the clarification.

i would love to see fanart supported.
xbmc does a good job with it.
i think all the movies are scraped from www.themoviedb.org
it just looks cool to have a backdrop and high res posters.
please support this in upcoming releases!

The ability to customize FanArt (backgrounds) and movie posters (icons) is another feature that would make Boxee that much better. :cool:

+1 for fanart. TheTVDB.com offers loads of fanart for all popular tv shows :) MediaStream does a fantastic job of using fanart. It is a feature which stands out. Every person who has seen me navigating my tv shows has expressed how awesome just having the fanart there is :).

Having the ability to put your own fan art in a folder, even though is a good feature, isnt good enough :)
