Play video without full screen

Is it possible to create a boxee application with a videowindow (http://developer.boxee.tv/boxee-applications/video-control/) and play a movie in it without going to the full screen player?

hey,
as far as i know its not possible to start the player in the background. as i think this is a great feature i will try and make sure it gets into our next api release.
