Hello,

I saw that there are a couple of apps for windows that rename tv shows automatically (http://www.tvrename.com/about.html), but couldn't find any for mac. Does anyone know of a good one? It seems like automator could do the job, but unfortunately I am not familiar enough with it to whip something up.

If not, what are others doing to keep their TV shows organized and keeping the titles of each file looking clean?

Thanks!

Joseph

Would you guys mind posting some of your scripts that you are using with Namewrangler to rename the TV shows? Are you turning them into droplets so it's automatic or are you doing them in batches, manually?

Maybe upload them to something like: http://drop.io/ and share the link on this thread?

Thanks so much! :)

In my professional life I have used Renamer4Mac (http://renamer4mac.com/), but with the invention of Automator (http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/300.html#automator) it is almost just as easy. It's built in software so it should be already installed on your Mac. Once you get the hang of it you can actually save your own scripts or workflows.

I have found using Name mangler that the programs that I have to rename are generally different from source to source. So using a droplet or a script won't work as the naming of your source files need to follow the same pattern. Using the program manually is pretty easy and it only takes about 3-4 minutes to rename an entire season of shows.

Just use FileBot, won't get much simpler than that.

I use Name Mangler and it couldn't be easier to use. I highly recommend it.
