Video not playing - white screen

I just installed the new Boxee, but so far, it's not so great. Every video that I attempt to start produces a full white screen - no picture, no audio. The controls appear when I move the mouse, showing that it's playing.

Any clue about this?

what boxee version?
what OSX are you running?
Are the videos local or network?
What format are the videos?
Does the internet content work?

I'm using the newest version of Boxee for Mac - 0.9.11.5591. I'm running the most current version of Mac OSX - 10.5.6.

I've just been trying to play the Internet video streams - Hulu, whatever. They all resulted in this white screen effect. In addition, my cursor would slow down, as if all of my video processing was going full blast.

Today, however, things have changed. I can play local video and some Internet streamed video. Hulu still won't play, although I get the header and footer from Hulu ... just not the video.

So maybe it was a temporary glitch? The slow cursor (which only happens once I enter deep enough in the menu system and click play on a video) is still occurring.
