Probably not with the existing API. You can take the boxee source code and probably adapt into it. I also suggest you discuss this at the XBMC forum.

i just read the few threads on integrating mame or other emus into boxee because that's exactly what it needs to be the perfect front-end. but there's been nothing new on the issue that i could find. so...

has any progress been made on this yet? whats the word? is there a way to launch an emu or other external app without leaving boxee?
