View Full Version : Need to add more storage to ATV Boxee.

I want to start converting my DVD's to a digital format and watch them on Boxee via my Apple TV. As I have an old Power Book (I added boxee via the wife's Intel) it is full!
What is the best way to add some external memory?
If you could give me your solution details that would be great.
Please include the brand names as well.
Ideally this wouldn't involve the Power Book as it is about as fast Vista :p

You should be able to add movie to any external hard drive connected to your power book. Add them to iTunes (uncheck the preference that says to copy files to iTunes folder!) and they should be available to the ATV.
Not sure if they'll be available to Boxee... there seems to be some confusion about that. But the ATV should be able to play them natively at that point as long as you are ripping to the right format.

it seems like people are saying NitoTV can enable usb external storage simply on an appletv.
