Video List question [Archive]

Good evening.

I have one of my videos showing on my main page with an arrow next to it... when I select the video it goes to a second page that lists the video again (as if it were in a subfolder). When I click on this I then get the run, etc. menu. I can't delete the video. Everytime I do it shows back up again.

Is this video a zip or rar file? Is it stacked (part 1,2 etc)...

No... it's just a regular AVI file... not stacked, not zipped....

Please let me know how to get the logs so I can send them to you. Not sure how to do that... Running boxee on an iMac right now.

Wyzard - I have one of those and here's what I think is going on:

If your folder name and the video file name don't match, Boxee does what you're describing. It happened to me as I have:

Movies/Foo BC (2008)/Foo B.C.avi

[note the BC versus B.C]

and that makes boxee show a "Foo BC" at the top level alongside the other movies, but then I click in and I see it "again". Clicking that one then acts as the video file.

I haven't 100% confirmed my findings, as I haven't yet renamed the file and seen if it does change, but I suspect it will.

Thanks Eddie....

My problem is that all my movie files are in one folder. Each is a separate .AVI file. For some reason Boxee picked up just this one that way. Have been trying to look and figure it out but no luck. The other odd thing is that when I try to delete the movie from Boxee (figuring I'll add it back manually), I can't...
I go to the second level (where Boxee will actually let me play the movie) and do the delete thing and it acts like it deleted, but when I go out of the movie section and go back it it's still there... very strange..

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Actually I figured this one out. Thought that two movies (Alien and Alien 3) were the same. Now I do have another question....

I'm using RipIt to get my DVDs ripped. Boxee "sees" the full rip (as .dvdmedia). However (and these are stacked) it shows the movie with the arrow and then goes to another screen to show the movie again. How can i just get the movie to play from the main screen (if it's a stacked rip)?
