Good evening.

I'm just started using RipIt to rip my DVDs. These are ripped with the .dvdmedia extension and give me a full copy of the disc. Will boxee play these natively, or do I need to run them through another program first?

Thanks.

I use DVD Fab 5 to rip uncompressed DVDs into .vob files. They are shared over smb to a mac mini.

I don't use any compression, but remove extra features and audio tracks.

This functionality is included in the free version. http://www.dvdfab.com This is a Windows or Linux with Wine tool

there is no reason why boxee should not be able to play these files..

OK. Currently I only have 3 movies done this way. I've pointed boxee to that directory but it only picks up one of the movies automatically, and that one it names incorreclty. I can browse to the folder and input manually, but it still won't play one of the movies.

Any thoughts why it won't "see" them automatically?

Thanks.
