X10 Remote with boxee???

Hi!

I just bought a used mac mini CD1,83 2GB to use it as a mediacenter. Until yesterday i had not tried boxee so i installed vista to look at my 720p/1080p videos. With the vista mediacenter my old X10 remote that came years ago with a medion laptop (the first centrino) worked like a charm.

But now im willing to give boxee a try. But will i be able to use my remote with boxee? I tried to google x10 and mac but to many results about home automation....

Under windows there were tools that translated any remote to nearly any prog (lirc???) Is such a thing available under osx?

i did some searching around, an it looks like xbmc/boxee doesn't support lirc on os x:

i know there where, at one time, some hacks you could pull to install lirc modules to xnu, from the opendarwin guys.
but, i don't know that anything like that is still feasible.

i have no idea if this is of any help, or will work with x10 devices, but maybe there is a chance.

lastly, there is an ati remote wonder driver, here: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/mac/remote-2-0-1.html

the remote wonder is an x10... but i have no idea if it would work with this driver.

i tried the whole evening to get it working, but without success.

So i will sell my old x10 on ebay and at the moment i'm thinking of getting sony BD Remote. Its full supported by remote buddy and so i think it will perfect work with boxee.
