View Full Version : Can't see where cursor is when entering long URLs on OS X

When adding RSS feeds that have long URLs I find that I the display of the address doesn't follow the cursor, e.g. When I add a huge URL the cursor is at the end of the string from copy-and-paste; however, it only shows the middle of the URL. When I press the left key and hold I can see the cursor go across the middle of the URL but it doesn't follow the cursor. When it finally reaches the beginning of the URL I can either tap over through http:// by counting and then enter rss:// OR I have to open up another app in order to fix the URL before I paste it in. Easy enough to do, but still technically a bug (and if it is the same way on AppleTV it isn't quite so easy to do anymore).

Thanks for the great app!

Not reference to the bug, but I've found editing the sources.xml file directly to be much easier.

You can find sources.xml on Linux in:
~/.boxee/UserData/profiles/[USERNAME]/
on Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/profiles/[USERNAME]/

Until they fix it, this might make it simpler.
