Not any more, I had my apple tv restored and now torrent works great and there are no more 11 errors.

Just this morning, I was changing some avi's from Downloads to my computer and I had error 6.

Sorry about 11 but i dont know why i founded like that twice.

Hi,

I've manage to get error 11 several times.

IT normally happens when I've left the AppleTV with Boxee on over a longer period. I think it is about 1-2 hours since I watched the TV screen last time.. so it has been standing idle for some time..

I;ve also seen the error 11, when a wake up in the morning finding the error happening while I was sleeping.

I think my Boxee is still indexing, so it can be that.
or
It might have something to do with it going idle or something. I know the Boxee screen saver kicks in after a while, and it works fine. So it have to be something happening later.

---------------------

Another issue I have is: - If I want to exit the screen saver, it takes ages before it response to my remote. about 10-20 seconds it normally takes before I see the menu system.

I just got it again.

This time. I was listening to a song, and was trying to pick a visualisation. I was holding the up button, to quickly scroll to the top of the list.

THen it exited, and I saw the update AppleTV screen. With Options Now or later.

I chose later, and then I saw the "Exited on error: 11" screen.

PS!! IS there a way to turn the visualisation off? I'd rather have my images or the Boxee screen saver on.

Hope this helps.

Hi all

The same has been happening to me all weekend long. I installed Boxee on my AppleTV last Friday and I have been using it a lot this weekend. I am still new to this and I am certainly not too technical.

I have been using it mostly for the Last.Fm plug in which works brilliantly. I do like keeping the now playing screen up while listening to Last Fm so as I can see what's coming and skip some songs. However, sometimes when i select skip or hit the menu button the whole thing freezes over and shows the error 11 mentioned earlier. The only way out of it is a soft reboot of the apple TV. Over the last 2 days I had to do about 10-15 of them :(

Nevertheless, I love the whole package and I realize it is still in Alpha. I can't wait for more to come.

On a different note, how do you see your itunes library in boxee? I cannot see mine from my imac.

I run latest boxee version on the most recent AppleTV update.

Thanks guys - keep up the good work.

Michael

@ctech settings>music visualization to none...

@michaelm try to access your imac machine via settings>media sources>network or manually add the IP ..

if you are looking for your itunes locally on your appletv then select settings>media sources>local source and browse to /mnt/Media/Media Library/

if you are using a time capsule or airport extreme check this thread (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=726)

Marcel

Thanks for the hint.

When I access the iMac from the network sources, I can only see my Public folder (accessing it via wireless local network - not airport extreme just a standard Belkin modem router - the N1 Version). The other issue is that all my media libraries are located on external drives. Will Boxee still pick them up. I have not tried the IP yet though it is easily doable. May try that tonight at home.

As for local sync'd content - thank for that will test it tonight.

Thanking you!

Michael

I am getting this message, too, when I access my Samba shares on my linux box. It seemed to work fine last week with the occasional crash. However, since I upgraded to Boxee alpha 0.9.3383, it crashes every single time I try to access my shares.

@conjett try disabling from settings>videos >"automatically generate thumbs for cover art" and see if this helps..:)

Well, after disabling the auto preview, I was able to watch a video for about thirty seconds before it crashed again. Also, SSH doesn't work anymore either. The only thing I can figure is that I also upgraded my hard drive and perhaps some things didn't get copied over. What I might do is create another usb boot drive with the USB creator (I'll have to wait until tomorrow to do that at work since I don't have an intel mac at home), do a factory restore of my apple tv and try to install Boxee again from scratch after that.
