I installed Boxee Remote on my 2nd gen iPhone and when I launch the app it searches for hosts but comes back with "No hosts found"
I have a Mac and AppleTv and only run Boxee on ATV.
Any ideas on how to make this work?

Go into settings->network->servers: and enable web server, unless you have already done that though.

I'm getting the same "no hosts found" message.
I have attached a graph my main computer/network components that will give you an idea of what my setup looks like. Some of it isn't relevant but I just linked it up here for the network part of things. I certainly do not have a complicated setup so I have no idea what in the world is wrong.
I tried turning of Little Snitch, all other firewalls etc.
I have the server turned ON and running on port 8080.
My iPhone is connected to the same router as my Mac Mini is.
here's my network setup

I had the same problem using my iphone with my Mac Mini. It looks like it was a permissions issue. On the Mac Mini I went to my System Preferences>Sharing. File sharing was already on, but in the Shared Folders window I selected my MacMini folder. In the Users window Everyone was set to Read only, so I changed it to Read & Write. I relaunched Boxee and the iphone app found the host.
Hope this helps anyone else with this problem! :)

try this ...
1. Make sure boxee is running on your Machine.
2. Make sure that the Web server is enabled and the port is set to 8800(default) on boxee (Settings>Network>Servers)
3. Make sure your iTouch / iPhone is connecting to wifi that is on the SAME subnet as your boxee machine.Note If it's using edge / 3g internet connection, then it will NOT be able to connect to Boxee
Troubleshooting:
1.use safari on your iTouch / iPhone to call up the boxee app's web-based interface by typing the IP address of the Boxee host & port number(e.g http://192.168.2.1:8800/). If that doesn't work, then your handheld device isn't on the same subnet.
2. Make sure the Web Server Password is empty.
