DVD playback improvement

Here are some features I think would be really great for the DVD player in Boxee:

- Ability to rate DVDs
- Ability to recognise DVD movies or episodes on a DVD
- Ability to recommend movies to friends
- Ability to play new trailers before the DVD (maybe a theatre mode)
- Ability to audio / text chat during a movie (turned off by default)
- Ability to add bookmarks to movies
- Ability to add comments to movies
- Ability for Boxee to suggest a movie to watch based on user-selected criteria

Also, I think the Apple remote could have better implementation. Here are my suggestions:

During DVD playback

Press Play / Pause - Show / hide status bar / resume play (cancel scanning)
Hold Play / Pause -
Press Up / Down - Volume up / down (twice down for Mute)
Hold Up / Down - Volume up / down
Press Left / Right - Scan back / forward through movie*
Hold Left / Right - Go to previous / next chapter
Press Menu - Show / hide 'Quick Menu'
Hold Menu - Go to DVD menu

* (with increments of x2, x6, x12 and x30, for example)

Suggested 'Quick Menu'

Up - Add bookmark
Down - Add comment
Left - Go to start of movie
Right - Go to time
Play / Pause -
Menu - Hide Quick Menu



I also want to say how impressed I am with your software; especially considering that it's in the alpha stage! I'm also incredibly impressed with your response to user feedback and suggestions - that's what makes me believe that Boxee will become the best HT application available upon its release.
