I downloaded the app first thing I read about the news, have been looking forward to it for a long time. It finds my machine without anny problems, and the gesture mode is wonderfull.

Though, there are some issues.

First of, often(not allways) when I lock my iPhone with the app running, and wake it up again, it has to re-search for my machine, then it finds it, then it crashes.

Then there is the time it uses to search for my machine when I start the app up. it uses about 5 seconds. Eell, it may not be that much, but say you have to pause because someone is calling you, the doorbell is ringing or your pizza is done or somthing. 5 seconds suddenly feel a lot longer. And it also feels long in the long run when you use the remote a lot.

To compare, my vlc-remote app uses about 2 seconds to connect to my machine, and it dosent have to search for it either.

There are probebly some techincal sides of this I'm not taking into account, so enlighten me if so. But I wish when i let the app run while locking it, it would be connected when I open it up again, my vlc-remote allways did. and that maby you didnt have to search for the machine everytime you start the app, that you could make a preset or somthing?

Well, despite this, I still think it is a wonderfull app, thank you!

Mine crashes as well when it wakes up after being locked. Glad to see I'm not the only one having this issue. I'm using an iPod Touch. Nonetheless, worked really well on my Ubuntu and Windows Alpha Boxee setups.

My only functionality complaint I have is trying to click the Boxee logo in Gesture mode (similar to pressing Ok). I prefer to use my remote without having to look at it every time I need to press the Boxee logo and it isn't very easy right now to do without needing to look down. I haven't played much with the sensitivity settings so that might help, but I think there needs to be a better way to advance the menu's that would be easier than it currently is. I'm not sure what would be more helpful, I just know it isn't easy to do right now without looking down (and sometimes difficult even when looking at my iPod Touch). And to clarify, moving left/right/up/down in Gesture mode works great for me, it's just difficult when I need to press in the middle.

You dont need to press the logo, just push somewhere on the screen, as long as you just tap it dosent matter.

Awesome, I'll have to try that out.

Is there a way to control the volume when in "Gesture Mode"
