I searched for "manual music disappear" and similar queries, but didn't find anything. Sorry if this is a dupe.
I'm having issues with music disappearing from view after it has been manually resolved. Here's my typical experience:
Browsing to Music | Artists | Antje Duvekot, selecting the album named Little Peppermints, then navigating to Read More | Wrong Album? presented me with a list of choices. The first one listed was the correct one. Choosing this selection, then confirming the selection, caused the album to disappear from view.
Some background:
This album consists of .mp3 files found in ~/Music/mp3/Antje Duvekot/Little Peppermints/ -- all of my music is stored in this directory, is correctly tagged, and follows the "Artist - Album - Track Number - Track Name.mp3" naming scheme.
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/ contains a handful of .m4a files which are homemade ringtones made from the music in ~/Music/mp3/
I'm using v0.9.9.5324 under Mac OS X 10.4.11
I'd be happy to help troubleshoot.
