I'm still on OSX 10.4 but would really like to use boxee. Is there a backward-compatible version on the horizon?

not working on 10.4 right now... sorry :(

but since boxee/xbmc is open-source, maybe someone will take on the challenge and do the changes required to make it compatible with 10.4

actually d4rk from team-xbmc started working on it last night (amazing coincidence).
i am not sure how difficult it would be and how long it would take but there's still hope for the tiger :)

I'm on 10.4 PPC myself. I'll await the good news when it becomes possible to alpha-test on this box.

That would be great, because the Apple TV is tiger based too.. and I assume that would make it easier to port.

XBMC has been ported to Mac OS X 10.5 (Tiger) Intel-based Mac's now. No plans for PowerPC support yet as none of our developers actually own a PPC Mac.

To compile XBMC (x86 intel processor) for Tiger checkout:

That would be great, because the Apple TV is tiger based too.. and I assume that would make it easier to port. That is true (for XBMC at least).

I can't seem to get my mouse to do anything once I open the Boxxee app in 10.4. Am I doing something wrong?
