Hi, I have installed and all looked good. Ran update for Boxee etc.
I then restarted appleTV and the remote will no longer work. Have tried pairing (light flashes but no movement), restarting etc. etc.
Any ideas before I do a factory restore and then try again?
Thanks.

As an update have tried quite a few things. I'm using the latest Boxee.
AppleTV boots up, intro etc. Front Row menu kicks in.
Remote will not work at all (light flashes on ATV when pressing buttons). Cant restart or factory restart with remote now (can I factory restore via SSH?).
Help!
note - Remote works fine on Mac if I enable it.

Have you tried holding down menu and << (rewind) for like 10 seconds and then holding menu and >> (fast forward) for 10 seconds that should force your remote to pair/unpair
in ssh you can run the command: shutdown -r now to force the ATV to restart

And a bit further....
If I restart ATV and hold down Menu and "-" whilst booting, then I am able to get into restore mode. The remote works fine. Running Diags shows nothing (which I assumed anyway). Its def something kicking in now I have Boxee on.
I can at least do a factory restore but I will wait and see if someone has any bright ideas before doing that as I 'really' don't want to re-sync all my media again.

I have the same issue as you. I'm now doing a full synch in case I have to restore.. I don't really have any extra information except that my Remote App on Iphone can control ATV as normal. Read something on another forum that the screensaver set to On can cause the loosing of the remote ? Maybe there is a way to disable screensaver by ssh ?

Guys if you are using the latest version (3383) then this is a bug:(...please try this:
launch daemon to unload boxeeservice.
launchctl unload "~/Library/LaunchAgents/tv.boxee.helper.plist".
then delete it.

I've tried but it errors telling me there is nothing to Unload.
If I manually try and browse to the file then it does not exist (well - even the LaunchAgents folder does not exist)....
> bash-2.05b$ launchctl unload "~/Library/LaunchAgents/tv.boxee.helper.plist"
nothing found to unload
>-bash-2.05b$ cd ~/Library
-bash-2.05b$ ls
Application Support Cookies Keychains
Assistants Favorites Logs
Audio FontCollections Preferences
Autosave Information Fonts Printers
Caches Internet Plug-Ins Sounds
ColorPickers Keyboard Layouts iMovie
Going to root I get:
-bash-2.05b$ cd /
-bash-2.05b$ cd Library
-bash-2.05b$ cd LaunchAgents/
-bash-2.05b$ ls
-bash-2.05b$
any other ideas?

Hi.
I tried the same thing and got the same result as you Nessyuk. Could not find that folder.
However the remote is working in Boxee now but not in xbmc. Dont know why!

Its very weird as mine is fine now.... must be something weird / memory type issue etc. However if I reboot it might break again.....

Unfortunately mine hasn't fixed itself like Nessyuk's has. If anyone figures out why this is happening or how to fix it, please share. My Apple TV is pretty much an expensive paperweight b/c the remote doesn't work.

Hmm. Mine appears to have the same issue. I cannot issue the command Marcel recommended, because there isn't any Library\LaunchAgents folder on mine!
-bash-2.05b$ launchctl unload "~/Library/LaunchAgents/tv.boxee.helper.plist"
nothing found to unload
-bash-2.05b$ ls

-bash-2.05b$ cd Library
