Even though the remote does work pretty well for most of the interface, which I'm really enjoying by the way, so much easier and cleaner than NitoTV, I would still love to be able to use a keyboard and or a mouse with Boxee. Anyone have any idea how I might do that with my ATV? Thanks!

Why not use the iTouch/iPhone UI for remote, even if it's a PC, it will work to get you started.
Go to settings (tools) then Network, and under Servers, enable the web server. I'd keep the port at 8888, so you can forward from outside your house. :)
Now head to: IP.of.Apple.TV:8888/iphone
You can do some controlling remotely there. :) Works with iTouch too of course.

Because editing ip addresses, RSS feeds, manually entering in movie names and such is much easier on a qwerty keyboard than even an iphone :)

My mouse support, under Boxee, is lagging for some reason and my keyboard doesn't seem to be recognized at all.
I've exited Boxee and confirmed that the keyboard functions properly under AppleTV's finder. Does anyone have a clue as to what could be the issue?
Has anyone had any luck using a keyboard with Boxee?

Worked fine for me last time I checked. This is with both a non-apple and apple USB keyboards.

Latest NitoTV, smart update, and an Apple USB keyboard; still no luck. Again, works fine in the AppleTV finder. I'll wait this one out.
Thanks.

If you happen to have an iPhone and you haven't seen this yet check this remote out: http://www.peterdamen.com/iphone/xmote.html. I found it on another boxee thread.
It has a keyboard for anytime you need it. You just have to enable the web server built into boxee. It is super responsive. As soon as you type on the phone it shows on the screen. There are also a few extra buttons and you can use a slider to get to any point in a movie or show.

Thanks, kyle.
I purchased that program just after my original post. Works well and recommended. Still like to get around the USB keyboard issue, eventually.

I downloaded and installed the Xmote for iPhone... works great for XBMC. However, when trying to use it for Boxee, I am running into the following isssue:
I realized that I need to have the HTTP servers and passwords the same for XMBC and for Boxee in order for the XMote to work for both. I found that I cannot change the HTTP port in Boxee. The "<" and ">" keys do not function in the Boxee UI... also the Backspace (and rest of the "keyboard" UI) are inaccessable. Is this a know problem?
I can get around it by changing the XBMC ports (which allow all selections in its UI).
Just wondering if I am just being stoodpid or something....:o
