View Full Version : Boxee Never Exits

I have Boxee working well enough on Ubuntu 8.0.4 (had to downgrade a couple packages to install) with one remaining glitch: I can't normally terminate. When I choose exit the screen goes dim and sticks.

I do have one active torrent download. The datestamp updates but no data is actually downloaded. The boxee processes and the rtorrent processes are still running.

It's not just slow, I've let it sit for 30 minutes with no resolution.

In addition, even though I set the download directory, it is reset to blank every time. The torrent is downloading to the default .tmp directory.

Does anyone else have this problem? Does it relate to the torrent?

Thanks!

Marcel,

Please find attached the log for a nocrash path and a crash path. The first log was created when I ran boxee and did NOT enter the Downloads section to check on my download, or set the download path.

The Crash log was created when I ran boxee, then entered the download section. I just did that and then tried to exit. My exit was about 19:05:09 in the log.

I can reproduce the error at will. I have to terminate the boxee process with kill -KILL.

Thanks for your help!

Where can I set the download path manually? (What XML file, etc.?) I tried rtorrent.rc.linux directory option, but since the download hasn't finished and was started before I changed it, I'm not sure that's right.

Thanks again.

you change the download path via Download>settings>Download Path

I probably wasn't clear... If I do the GUI Download>settings>Download Path, the program locks up on exit and the change isn't saved.

I can probably live with the situation (never go into the Download screen) for now but would like downloads to end up in the right place if they do complete.
