There is also a Boxee application released by the author of the RSS. You can download it from here (http://thejakemarsh.com/1808/). Instructions for installation can be found on the author's website or in this post (http://forum.boxee.tv/showpost.php?p=38575&postcount=11).

Hi Jake Marsh. Impressive work with the rss feed. I am curious as to what content sources you actually have working with boxee. I have noticed the ones listed on your blog, but I didn't know if any of the others are working yet, or not. On several shows, there is an NBC source. When I click on it, I get the boxee 'flower' that just continuously spins. I finally log on to my Apple TV, and kill boxee to get it to stop. The show in question was Chuck, and (obviously) I am running boxee on an appletv.
Thanks,

This looks like a nice start to a very cool plugin, however I have tried to watch a few shows on it, and I think it confuses my Mini; I have to keep restarting my computer. Does this happen to anyone else?
Nice job on the plugin, and I look forward to following your progress :)

Amazing progress, as with some of the other user, I seem to be having problems streaming some of the content. I have to hit play again to get things to work, if they work at all.
But for a first draft, and the data pull is working flawless. Keep up the good work and let me know if you need any help with the project.

I love the idea of the RSS Feed to be able to access the content. I just have one concern (maybe a worry?): is this gonna eat up all the bandwidth Jake Marsh has? I ask cus I'd hate for this to just disappear one day due to Bandwidth Exceeded issues. Not to mention I'm sure it wouldn't be a bill Jake Marsh would wanna see.

For those wanting an easier way to install TV Library into boxee, just get the new test version and add "http://dir.thejakemarsh.com" as a repository :)

I absolutely love this app...it looks great and as so many choices! A couple of thoughts though...
1) I am unfamiliar with plugin development, so if this is difficult I understand: is there any way to implement a search engine? There are so many choices, and when you are looking for a particular show it takes a while; the alphabet prioritizer above seems to not work either,
2) Also, is there a setting you can tweak to automatically make video playback fill the entire screen? Most of the videos I have tried are tiny, and you have to do a lot of adjusting.
3) Could we add our own sources to Video Library, kind of like a community thing? I noticed that your app brings in Megavideo...I know of a site that directs you to high quality video from megavideo...the links in TV Library seem to be the low quality versions. It would be cool if we could add our own megavideo links and watch them :)
Any of this possible?

Great looking app.
Just a quick note.
Only the feeds from youtube and megavideo work for me. All the rest hang up the app. You might want to add a timeout function so if the after 2 mins or so of the loading wheel it will fail and then I won't have to rebbot my ATV. Thanks

I have loved TV Library for some time now. I was able to watch Weeds and I thank The Jake Marsh so much. However, something has broken now and when I attempt to view a show from MegaVideo I am unable to utilize the pause control which is absolutely necessary in order to view these videos. It says, "Pause Not Available."
Can someone please help me out?
Thanks,
b.

The script just needs to be updated to work with newer versions of Boxee, however I do not know if the developer is still maintaining it :(

I'm having a problem using this as well. I haven't tried that many shows, but so far watching from MegaVideo feeds require me to hit the play icon from MegaVideo to start the video. Also, some shows just display a blank screen after it loads (in particular 1000 ways to day, fed from spike tv). Last problem is a python script error when attempting to select a letter from the alphabet navigation. I am using this on Windows, if it matters. Is this still being worked on?

I haven't found any videos that work for me. The megavideo seem to come the closest, but they hang with a giant play button in the middle of the screen.
Anyone else having trouble with this app??

You're responding to a very outdated thread. If you're looking for Hulu solutions, search the forums for: PlayOn

Thanks but Playon is a paid solution. Isnt it the same price as hulu+? i have other devices I can use for Hulu+.
The only repository Ive gotten to work so far is Navi-X. Ive tried like 15 and I get errors on all when I try them...

Many applications (especially those that were announced in 2009) are outdated, abandoned, or won't work with the Boxee Box.
Many of the applications have also been superseded by the Box's "TV Channels" functionality.
