View Full Version : Issue with 'Friends Activity'

Seeing what my 'friends' are watching/viewing is a great feature as it provides a peek into other pockets of content you can access from Boxee.

Unfortunately, it doesn't allow you to really see the source of the content. For example, on my home screen I see that Avner watched Pushing Daisies. I can watch the episode he watched, but I have no insight as to where that video is coming from, thereby preventing me from watching other episodes.

This seems counterproductive to the social factor of Boxee and the way it can drive traffic to some of these sites.

Anybody else experience this? Flustered by this? Have a solution or answer for this?

Thank you Boxee for the phenomenal product you are creating.

Hello - I am not so much flustered by this as much as in need of more information as to how the social networking aspect of boxee works and how to fully use it.

I have been using boxee for several weeks now on several boxes and even bought an ATV. Now that I am comfortable with how navigation works, adding sources etc., I want to dig deeper into utilizing the social side of boxee.

When you pull up media to be played, located under the play option there is "Read More" option. If you enter that then you have some interesting options targeted at the social aspect. You can rate the media as Love it or thumbs down and you can "Recommend" media to your friends. I wonder what and how the recommendation is displayed and how much data is provided.

I do understand where it would be nice to see where another user sourced their media.
