Hi,

I have many Looney Tunes DVD's with various collections that I ripped into single episodes.
I found out that thetvdb gathered all "Looney Tunes" cartoons as one TV show where the years published serves as the season (show ID:72514 link: http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=72514&lid=7).
Although I've created a tvshow.nfo with the show id boxee can't handle it unless I add manually each episodes (and it is alllllot). In the manual process it turned out the show "Looney Tunes" appears several times and in each one different episodes are mapped.

I organized the cartoons in the following structure:
[TV]
...[Looney Tunes]
......[Season 1949]
.........Looney Tunes.S1949E024.Fast And Furry-Ous.m4v
......[Season 1952]
.........Looney Tunes.S1952E008.Beep Beep.m4v
.........Looney Tunes.S1952E012.Going! Going! Gosh!.m4v
......tvshow.nfo
......folder.jpg

The tvshow.nfo file look like this:

<tvshow>
<title>Looney Tunes</title>
<thumb>folder.jpg</thumb>
<id>72514</id>
<genre>Animation</genre>
</tvshow>
Am I doing something wrong? + how to mark special episodes?

Thanks,
Shai.

The last post (http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=12621&page=3&p=268747#post268747) in a long thread says it's fixed if you follow the naming structure outlined in that post.

Manual wont work. And I found manuals get undone by re-scans.

The secret is you need the 1930's year...

looney tunes (1930) S1949E024

And specials are year zero S00E24

And get rid of the TVSHOW.NFO. I don't think you'll need it. When it is present it can change the behavior of boxee's ID process.

Boxee identified all episodes but still their are placed in two different places.
To be exact 3 episodes are not tagged in like the rest of the episodes.
The names are correct and everything seems OK but now I have two thumbs for the series.

If three episodes are showing up under a second thumb, my first suspicion would be that they aren't named right and are failing to identify. Your seeing how they were identified before. Make sure you have the year and episode correct and that it matches the TVDB definition. I had some typos throw some off.

I have had some odd random fails. Comic Book Men S1e1 fails to identify, but e2-e6 work fine. The only fix was NFO files. I like the episode name to be in the filename, and that can cause problems. YEARS in the episode title, "%" cause failures. Both of these would not ID...

Getting rid of old stuff in boxee is a hassle. Often the only clear way is to remove your entire source and start over. The larger your share gets, I find, the more painful that becomes as boxee starts locking up on the hours and hours needed to identify.
