I agree, at this point it's a false advertising, I know Boxee is doing all they can to get Hulu support back. But I doubt this is as much news to them as it is to us.

Hulu is still working for me, I think they are pulling the plug tomorrow.

False advertising for a free alpha product...

I only stumbled across boxee because of the news, so it might be a short-term blessing. <3 what I have seen so far.

That's good to hear, Boxee has a hell of a lot more to offer than Hulu. :)

I don't see an attitude. It makes since to me:
1. Do you not remember all the people asking in the forums why Netflix did not work under Windows, ATV and Linux because they were mislead by other sites? How much worse will it be when Boxee themselves is sending out wrong information. We don't want to see tons of posts from noobs asking why Hulu does not work.
2. Why should Boxee continue to promote Hulu on their home page when Hulu cut them off? Better to promote the other providers that are supported by Boxee.

Just noticed Hulu is no longer in the text of the Boxee home page. It is still shown in the image.

Uh, I wouldn't call that being a dick. It makes logical sense not to advertise a product you don't provide anymore. Yes it's sad that we don't have an official hulu application anymore, but seriously think about the situation. If Joe Schmoe comes to boxee.com, has no idea about our past history with hulu, but sees hulu advertised so installs boxee only to be disappointed... that does not give boxee a good public image.

I completely agree. I only watched HULU for about 2 shows. But ever since I have been using Boxee I find myself watching more and more of other shows like Revision 3. I am hooked on diggnation and Hak5. I also just love scanning through my friends recent activity and recommendations. So if Hulu comes back nice, if not then its not such a big deal to me to be honest. I will add one last thing though, expect to see Hulu back on Boxee whether its from Boxee, BoxeeHQ, or some other developer with an available plug-in.

OK, I know I contributed by being one of the first responders, but I think everyone was a little miffed about Hulu and everyone's lashing out however they can, but let's all direct it towards the content providers. I see this turning into a flame thread and that's never a good thing.
Let's give Boxee the benefit of the doubt and assume they were too busying developing to remove it right away.
As for the promo video I'm sure they'll update that in time, there's a lot of great features they've smoothed out and added since it was made.

It's already been done by some XBMC plugin devs.
