I have searched, and looked throu the forum for a a long time now. And now i decided to make this thread. No one have to answer, or do anything.
I just want the ppl of boxee to know. So here we go.
Music Recognition - HORRIBLE.
Out of my 350ish albums, boxee shows 70ish, and out of them onlu 20ish are correct. Some are correct, but has no album art. Even if i have the art in the folder.
I listen to lots of Asian, Drum n Bass, and Psychedelic, trance, and other electronic.
There must be some way to fix this, ID3, and using the img in the folder, or the info from itunes.
Movies / TV - Naaaaah.
Movies, good, really good. For as long as its the newest, biggest, and best. But when it comes to my asian collection. Its horrible, i get things so wrong.
My anime is suffering as well. If i put anime in an "unseen" folder, cus i havent seen it yet. It all gets labled, UNSEEN, from some movie known as unseen /IMDB/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1362517/)
An other anime-problem. But i guess it has to do with .mkv and embeded subs. When i watch anime, as .mkv, series that boxee even lables Correct, boxee fails to show the subs proper. It shows some of it. Every few lines.
Internet - Movies/Tv/Music
This i like. This was more or less the reason i had to try it. And this works more or less flawless. To bad im in sweden, and cant use most of the "good" content coz of that.
rTorrent - have NEVER been able to make it work, love the idea. This must is a must have.
Other than that, I Love the app. But if this wont get fixed, i´m sorry, Boxee will be useless to me.
My first boxee machine was a Ubuntu 8.04 machine, here boxee even crashed way to often, some times when i tried to play an mp3.
My current boxee machine is a 24" iMac, connected to my tv, this works perfect, hardly any crashes, other then the problems i have mentioned above.
So all in all, i love the app, but this thing with my music, it has to be fixed.
