I'm not sure how often crashes generally occur for others, but I get them a lot on my Mac Mini. Unfortunately, when it crashes, I get Apple's "your app quit unexpectedly" message that must be dismissed with either a mouse or keyboard. Is there any way to make those messages stop, so I can simply press the menu button on the remote to restart boxee?

I realize that won't help with my frequent lock ups (those must be force quit), but it would save me a trip to the keyboard during crashes.

Open up the terminal and put this command in, gets rid of those crash logs, but keeps writting them to disk.

defaults write com.apple.CrashReporter DialogType Server

How do you start boxee with your remote. Can I do this with my imac?

As soon as I installed Boxee, pressing menu on my Apple Remote now starts Boxee instead of FrontRow.

And actually now that I installed Plex as well, Plex starts automatically, even if Boxee is running. I'd also be interested in how to configure what programs starts with the menu button!
