ETA for next Linux release? -- IRC?

Is there an ETA on the next bug/feature release for linux?

There is a channel on FreeNode.net, #boxee, that has a few people hanging out in it. However it's obviously not official. Are there plans for a irc channel for the boxee community? This would be a great place for help and to meet other members.

I have also found that theres a boxee channel on Undernet as well. Seems to be alot smaller but a tad more helpfull.
