View Full Version : CHEAP! AppleTV for Boxee

I stopped by Circuit City the other day to check out their liquidation "deals". I noticed a AppleTV product display (AppleTV 40GB screwed down to a wooden display stand) with no price attached to it. I asked a salesmen if it was for sale and indeed it was. $50 out the door and it works like a dream! I'm sure this is a YMMV type of deal, but for those of you looking for some cheap Boxee hardware it might be worth a trip by your nearest failing Circuit City.

That's a very clever spam technique - make a vaguely relevant but short message, with a line of targeted advertisements in the user signature..

I just sent a PM to Agentlame for another one and reported the post in the Mac Section. With the rising popularity and news on Boxee, we can expect more I am sure.

As for Circuit City, they have all but gotten rid of everything in my local store, went to 60% off most of the stuff that is little and 30% off the main stuff. It was like a ghost town in there the other day. Everything was moved to the center of the store with the rest all roped off and fixtures being sold. Very quiet in there for a first. Sadly no Apple TV. :( BTW, if anyone is interested, the liquidators are marking up prices (http://consumerist.com/5075913/few-deals-to-be-had-at-circuit-city-liquidation-sales) to discount them to retail.

Anyway, congrats on your deal of the year for the ATV. :)
