I currently have a iMac 24" OS X with a 2.16 Ghz Intel Core Duo with 2.5 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory.
I am new to Boxee/XBMC and want to install it on this computer. What do I need to do to install on my Mac? Is there a direct download site?
As soon as I become familiar with Boxee, I want to purchase a Mac Mini and use for my media center. This will be connected to Pioneer Kuro Elite 60" 1080p television. What Mac Mini configuration should I purchase?
Does this work with Slingbox?
Anything I should know, I am just learning about this.

the best way to learn about boxee is to download the program and explore all of the settings and options available throughout the program - i have explored and tested other media centers and boxee (even as the current alpha version) is quite impressive to say the least.
also, any mac mini configuration should work well - the specifics will just be up to you regarding the processor/RAM/hard drive/optical drive - none should make a significant difference for boxee.
(side note - the appleTV at this time has some limitation with Netflix primarily from the processor standpoint)
enjoy.

I downloaded Boxee ( no problems) and have been trying to navigate around and link up to various sites. That will be my problem, locating cool content, making it work and connect to Boxee, and linking my files to Boxee.
I wish someone would make a general user guide, that would be very helpful. "How to get the most out of Boxee" - I have a great system, great HDTV, and I want to get the most out of my media system.
Thanks

i installed Boxee on my mac mini and after start up it asks for add new. I use the same login as I do for the Boxee web site and it keep giving me error message "incorrect password". Where and what I did wrong.
