Use same database on all accounts.

I would like to know if it is possible to make the "same" boxee available for all users on OS X.

I tried to put an alias to another user ApplicationSupport/Boxee folder but it did not work.

Another possibility I think of would be a way to set the location of the database within the application, and then setting it to the root library.

Not currently supported, but if you vote it up on Get Satisfaction the devs might implement it sooner:
